Jazz’s parent company appoints Ursula Burns as Chairman and CEO

Islamabad - 13 December 2018: Jazz’s parent company, VEON Ltd., a leading global provider of connectivity and internet services has announced the appointment of Ursula Burns as Chairman and CEO, effective immediately.

Ms. Burns has served as Chairman of the VEON Board of Directors since July 2017 and as Executive Chairman since March 2018, during which time she has successfully introduced a simplified corporate structure including a leaner operating model along with an increased focus on emerging markets.

“Ursula brings with her the global best practices that can guide emerging markets like Pakistan get to the next level of growth and innovation. We are very excited about her continued involvement in our strategy and digitalization aspirations for the country,” said Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz.
