Islamabad – 25 May 2017: Jazz, Pakistan’s number one Telco, has paid tribute to the recently retired legend, Younis Khan, in honor of his outstanding cricketing achievements. For this purpose, a befitting reception was organized, where Jazz’s management and host of celebrities paid homage to Pakistan’s ex-captain.
This is not the first time that Jazz has paid tribute to the cricketing great; Younis was honored two years back upon breaking Javaid Miandad’s ‘Highest Scoring Test Batsman’ record.
Speaking at the tribute, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO – Jazz, said, “We all at Jazz are proud of Younis Khan’s achievement, as he bows out of the sport as one of the top batsmen in world cricket. Jazz is devoted towards providing a platform to the deserving and awarding achievements of those who have given so much to our country and made us proud.”
“For Pakistanis, cricket is more than just a sport and we will continue to support it, as we firmly believe in the potential Pakistanis have,” He further added.
This initiative is recognizant of the investment Jazz has put in sports, especially cricket, for the good of the country. From its collaboration with the Lahore Qalandars in the PSL to the award-winning initiative called ‘Jazz Rising Stars’, the Telco has always been an instrumental catalyst in uplifting the sport and providing youth a platform to hone their skills.
