National Health Hackathon Winners

To come up with solutions for COVID-19 preparedness and responsiveness, the National Incubation Center and Jazz xlr8 launched the National Health Hackathon in partnership with the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations & Coordination, UNDP, Association of Pakistani Physicians of Northern Europe - APPNE, Rehman Medical Institute, and Open-Silicon Valley. After receiving over 1,200 applications, 123 interviews were conducted to shortlist the 25 best startup solutions.

The winners of the Hackathon are as follows:

1. Muhammad Zeeshan Karamat from Detect Now who is using a non-invasive AI-based system that diagnoses COVID-19 by sensing dry coughing.

2. Urooj Zia from Mahaul Mate is making reusable FFP3 and N95 masks - designed and manufactured in Pakistan entirely from locally-produced materials.

3. Syed Wajahat from Learning Pitch has created an online learning solution that provides recorded lectures to intermediate, CA, ACCA, and ICMA students via a best-in-class learning management system.
